Space [&] Time
"I need my space", "We need some time apart"
How many of us are guilty of saying these things every time our relationship becomes to difficult to handle?
If you answered yes, then answer this question, Is space and time apart necessary?
Apart of me believes that it is necessary because it gives two people time to miss each other; it also gives two people time to work out things on their own. When I try to answer this ? I always contradict myself because I also believe that it's not necessary. If you want a unbreakable relationship you should be able to work out your problems together; if you start to get in the habit of working things out on your own then you'll never be able to overcome anything together; if you can't overcome obstacles in your relationship with your partner then being in a relationship with that person is pointless. No matter how many times I try to answer this question I can never come up with a clear answer...What do you guys think? Is it necessary to ask for space when things become difficult in your relationship?

Unrealistic Expectations?

Are these wants realistic? Is it possible to receive all of this and more from a relationship? My answer is yes! You just have to find the right person. I think love is a powerful emotion, anything and everything is possible when it comes to love.

Today I decided to do some online shopping at Ralph Lauren! They're having a sale called "Last Chance Sale"! I bought my son 3 pairs of sneakers, 4 polos, & 1 hooded rugby for $218.70, after sale taxes was added it came up to $228.27. I posted pics below

Flaws and All

The above quote is one of my favorite quotes by Marilyn Monroe; it explains everything that everyone should expect from their relationship. You should want to be in a relationship where your significant other is able to accept you for who you are; someone that's going to understand that you're human, you're far from perfect. When you find someone that has the ability to look pass your imperfections and still be able to say "I love you", you have found a keeper. Valentine's Day
Valentine's Day has to be one of my favorite holidays; I love watching people shop for their loved ones, going above and beyond just to see their special someone smile. I despise people that hate on Valentine's Day, their main line is always "V-Day should be everyday", that line grinds my gears! I know when you're in a relationship your partner should do nice things for you all the time, but V-day is a little reminder to remind you of how special you are even if you hear it all the time. I think I enjoy the holiday as much as I do because I'm a hopeless romantic, what's better than a day dedicated to love! I don't mind being spoiled on Valentine's Day with expensive gifts (lol), but I prefer gifts that comes from the heart; instead of buying me a card make me one, the same goes for gifts. To the people that hate on V-day, you either lack creativity to make that one day special than the rest or bitter because you don't have anyone to spend V-Day with. To the people that love Valentine's Day as much as I do, HAPPY VALENTINE's DAY!, have a beautiful and romantic day tomorrow.

Fashion Fridays (Perfume)
I forgot to do a "Fashion Fridays" post yesterday (bettter late than never...right? lol), so I decided to do one today. Im dedicating this Fashion Friday to my favorite singer Rihanna; Rihanna has a new perfume collection for women called Reb'l Fleur. Reb'l Fleur is sold at MACY's, you can get the 3.40z of perfume for $59.99 and the 1.7oz for $49.99; MACY's also sells her Reb'l Fleur body lotion for $30.00. I have't been to Macy's in a while, I can't wait to go so I can start smelling like Rihanna! lol

New Year Resolutions
I know we're already a month and some days into the new year but I finally know what my new year resolutions will be this year. I didn't make any new year resolutions at the beginning of the year because I didn't think I needed any. I didn't think I needed any because I never realized any of my problems until last night. I posted a few of my new year resolutions below!
Forgive & Forget
I'm not a forgiving person and I hate that about myself; I hold on to things (the smallest things) for a long time. Not being able to forgive people and move on from the past has affected a lot of my relationships with the people I love. I know in order for God to forgive me for my sins, I have to be able to forgive people for their wrong doings towards me. I wouldn't want anyone to hold a grudge against me so I shouldn't do it to others.
Focus on School
I've always been a good student but, I could be an excellent student if I worked harder. I realized that the time I spend focusing on other things can be time used to focus on school.
Get To Know My City
I've been living in New York for 20 years and I feel like a tourist! New York offers their residents so much and I haven't taken the time to experience it all. I want to get out more, meet new people, and explore new areas around my city.
Man-Up
I have no idea when I became so sensitive! Lately the smallest things bother me and I'm starting to hate that about myself. I don't want anyone to feel as if they have control over my emotions.
Bilingual
I want my son to be able to speak more than one language; this is going to be my New Years resolution every year until my son is speaking a language I can't understand lol.
...Trust me this list will get longer!

Superbowl Sunday
As you all know, The Jets didn't make it to the Superbowl. Do I care? Even though I am a New Yorker I could careless. I'm not a big fan of football (wait! I'm not a fan of sports period). The only thing that I know about football (thanks to my boyfriend) is that a touchdown is worth 7 points and a field goal is worth 3 points. Don't get me wrong, I am excited about Superbowl Sunday because people always cook a lot of food for this event lol. I won't be watching the game but I will be watching all the food that I put on my plate tonight! For all my steeler fans I posted a little something special for you guys!

I found this verse in the bible and it spoke volumes to me, so I thought I should post it on my blog!
“Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.” (1 Corinthians 13:4-8)
Reading this gave me a better understanding of what love is and what love isn't. It also helped me have a better understanding of my past and current relationships.
