Are relationships complicated?

I’ve been asking myself this question for a long time and I can’t figure it out! Sometimes I think being in a relationship is complicated, annoying, and frustrating; sometimes I think relationships aren’t all of the above, people just make them that way. When you’re in a relationship it’s no longer about you, it’s about you and your partner. Being in a relationship requires work and let’s be honest some of us aren’t hard workers. When you’re in a relationship you have to be open-minded, considerate and understanding of your partners feelings, which is HARD WORK. There’s no such thing as being selfish in a relationship. Relationships also require trust and communication; I’m able to communicate, but trusting someone other than myself is beyond complicated for me. Now I’m asking myself is it all worth it? (second ? of the day lol). That ? is easier for me to answer; when you’ve found someone that you truly love I guess it is. Hmm maybe relationships aren’t so complicated, I guess we just make them that way
