Have You Ever?

Have you ever loved someone so much that their happiness meant more to you than your own? 

Have you ever loved someone so much that you would risk it all for their love?

Have you ever loved someone so much that you couldn't imagine life without them? 

My best friend asked me the above ?s tonight and I answered yes to each one. My happiness is very important to me but as I've always been told I'm a very selfless person when it comes to the ones I love. Knowing that my significant other is happy means the world to me, because when he's not happy I'm not happy. What's the point of being in love if you're not willing to take risk? Love lies in the hearts of the fearless, and that's exactly what I am, fearless. I know if my relationship came to an end I would have to move on with my life but it's still hard to imagine my life without him. Answering these questions made me realize that after all we've been through I am still head over heels in love with him. These questions made me realize why I fell in love with him in the first place, and it reminded me of the important role he plays in my life.
